We care differently.
Hey there 👋
It’s Steve, Founder of Purple Crayon, let me tell you a bit about Purple Crayon and why I truly believe we’re different. We understand that many families have encountered ABA practices and general ASD care that feels impersonal or disconnected. Here are the three items which set us apart:
We’re small. You can speak with our clinical director throught the process, you will not get lost in a big system. We further commit to being upfront with you: we are here to help you and will not make promises we can’t keep.
The individual counts. It’s easy to say this, but what does it mean? This means we do NOT believe in making anyone “normal.” We work with every family and child to find out what they want and what works best for them. Once we find a therapist, we’ll make sure it works for you - the parent and child. If it doesn’t work, we’ll find someone else.
We specialize. While we work with a wide range of ages, issues, and functionality, we particularly specialize in issues sorrounding communication.
We started this organization because we recognized the radical need for more thoughtful, individualized care. ABA, when practiced with empathy and genuine collaboration, can transform lives—not only for children but for the families who love and support them. We're here to ensure that growth happens in a way that feels right for your family.
At Purple Crayon, you are a partner in the process. We are committed to fostering change with care, understanding, and integrity—always striving to support families in a way that is respectful, warm, and deeply personalized.
With love and hope,
Steve Katz - Founder
